Working From the Wild | 18-19 Oct
Join me for a weekend of exploration into working with nature’s offerings.
Increasingly artists are seeking to make a deeper connection with place by using methods and materials found on the land. In this new 2 day course you will have the opportunity to make work with charcoal paints and inks made from materials gathered and carbonised on site here at The Lund. We will also look at acorn and oak gall ink as well as naturally pigment from local materials such iron oxide and field brick.
Using tools and implements gathered from a gentle stroll out around the woodland we will then retire to the studios to create beautiful marks and drawings on paper and canvas.
This course is suitable for all abilities with all materials are provided. The course is based indoors and will only involve a short walk from the studio.
The days run from 10.00am to 4.00pm
Lunch and refreshments included, prepared fresh here at Lund Studios.
